Friends, today we are talking about the program Mata-Pita ke Charanon mein “Arpan” organized in Witty International School, District Bhilwara. Both my children have been studying in this school. The school management has been organizing the “Mata-Pita ke Charanon mein “Arpan” program continuously for the last three years. Because when it was organized for the first time, a special curiosity arose among the children and their parents as to what exactly would happen? Let us know about this program…

सर्वतीर्थमयी माता सर्वदेवमयः पिता।
मातरं पितरं तस्मात् सर्वयत्नेन पूजयेत्।।

अर्थात् माता में सभी तीर्थों का वास है और पिता में सब देवों का वास है। माता-पिता सर्वदा पूजनीय हैं। Mata-Pita ke Charanon mein “Arpan” में इस पवित्र श्लोक का भावार्थ छिपा है।

At the beginning of the program, the children beautifully sang the famous Hindi songs “Papa Kehte Hain Bada Naam Karega” and “Ungli Pakad Ke Tune Chalna Sikha” in honor of their parents. The parents and grandparents present in the program were overwhelmed by listening to this. After that, the children also performed a dance, on which everyone applauded and encouraged them.

After all these performances, the Principal Sir gave information about the Mata-Pita ke Charanon mein “Arpan” program and shed light on why it was started. After this, all the children came with a plate decorated with kumkum, rice, lamp and flowers in their hands. Every child first washed the feet of their parents, then lit a lamp in the plate and performed Aarti. After that, they showered flowers on their parents and touched their feet to seek their blessings. There was happiness on all faces. Some were hugging their children, some were kissing them on the forehead and many parents were taking selfies with their children.

After this, the management invited the parents present on the stage to share their experience about this program. I also shared my thoughts and said that the word “Arpan” has so much power that if we understand its meaning and use it regularly in our daily routine, then it will seem like an experiment being miraculously successful.

Arpan means that we all should have “only the feeling of giving” towards each other. Because the rule of nature is “Keep Giving and Keep Taking”. Whatever we are giving to this nature according to our karma, the same will come back to us one day. Witty is strengthening the foundation of the mind and brain of these children with precious bricks like “Arpan”, for this… on behalf of all of us parents, we are heartily grateful and thankful to Witty Management.

A father present in the program recited his own poem and spoke beautifully about the “Dedication of Daughters”. The poem written by him is as follows –

जिस घर में बहन-बेटी के चरणों में नित प्रणाम करते है
उस घर में कभी कोई चरित्रहीन नहीं होता है
वो धीर है एक भाई का और है पिता का मान भी
जो हो बहन की संगनी, माँ के हृदय का नीर भी

त्याग कर खुद के सुखों को, सबके हेतु सोचती
पितृ आज्ञा पूर्ण कर, खुद की खुशी को ढूँढती
घर में भाई न मिले तो, चौखटों को देखती
माँ के चिंतन में सहेली बन, वो हौंसलों को सींचती

घर में ऐसे एक वृक्ष की छांव होनी चाहिये
वट वृक्ष हो या बेटी, एक बेटी घर में होनी चाहिये

उस घर के सुख भी स्वर्ग हैं, जिस घर को बेटी चाहिये
वट वृक्ष हो या बेटी, एक बेटी घर में होनी चाहिये
